Today, I want to write a few words on awakening and what it truly means to awaken.
I see many people who are awakening, but still looking at the awakening through the lens of the old consciousness.
That means they haven’t yet dismantled enough of the old cultural and individual conditioning within themselves to see a different reality.
There’s still too much conditioning in the way. So they are trying to understand and process the awakening through the lens of the old reality: the old ways of perceiving the world, others, and themselves.
But those lenses are still part of the old consciousness.
So they try to fit their new experiences into an old reality or an old model of explaining reality.
And that’s just not possible.
It’s natural to view our new experiences through the old lenses in the earlier stages of awakening.
But after a while, we also need to look at those lenses themselves: the old filters through which we see reality.
Those old filters have to go too.
They are also part of the old reality.
The awakening goes all the way
The awakening goes all the way.
It dismantles the entire old paradigm, within and around us.
That means that our old conditioned identity (the ego) and the old cultural programming: the ways of looking at ourselves, others, and the world, will all have to fall away.
They must fall away for a new you and a new paradigm to arise.
The new paradigm doesn’t fit into the old, conceptual reality.
It wipes out that reality. Completely.
And builds anew, from a new state of consciousness that awakens and arises out of the ashes of our old selves and the old paradigm.
