This post is for my soul. I am writing it for her – for the larger part of me, who can never fit into a body, a system, or a conceptual reality.
Our souls do not fit fully into our human bodies, so there is always more to us than what we see on the surface and what we are experiencing here in the 3D world.
But I know that some souls fit better into society, into fixed environments, and feel more comfortable in them than others. And many times in the past, I wished I was one of those easy-going people who don’t question or challenge what is, and maybe even work hard to keep things as they are.
The souls who are content with reality within a framework, within the “normal” and ordinary. The people who stick to the ways things are, even when they are proven wrong and even when those ways aren’t working.
It would be so much easier.
But my soul is not one of them.
I may have tried in the past, but I can’t tame her. She is not here to be tamed. She never was.
All attempts to make her into anything she is not don’t work. She becomes unhappy and feels caged, losing her passion, clarity, and joy if I try.
She is a free spirit. Not here to conform.
I have always fit best in environments where I have a lot of freedom to do things my way. When I am in a situation where my freedom is limited or where I am controlled, I lose my joy and confidence, and my light slowly goes out.
My soul needs to feel free; she needs to find and make her own way.
She also questions and finds new ways of doing things. And that is not always popular among others.
But I keep going.
I am making this journey for her. And every step I take, every word I write, is not only for me but for all of us who can’t stand not being who we are, for all of us who become unwell when we can’t be our authentic selves.
For all of us who have something to say that may challenge some aspects of the way things are, and for all of us who have met a lot of resistance from others because of that.
I keep doing what makes my soul happy, taking every step I can in her desired direction daily. And the more I do, the more the gap closes between my soul and human self, even in the external world.
