“When you find no solution to a problem, it’s probably not a problem to be solved, but a truth to be accepted.”
-Unknown
This quote is such a powerful reminder. Sometimes the answer to a perceived problem is surrendering and accepting that we can do nothing.
I am all for trying, and I do my best and give my all when it comes to the things that matter to me. And I go after my dreams what I believe in.
But it is also such a relief to surrender when things just aren’t working. To realize when there is nothing we can do.
If we have tried and given our all, and it is still not working, it is not up to us anymore. It is probably not a problem to be solved but a truth to be accepted.
When we surrender, sometimes other possibilities open up that we couldn’t see before.
It has happened to me several times.
When I let go of something I have been working too hard on, sometimes a new possibility shows itself – one where I don’t have to bang my head against the wall or overextend myself to make things happen.
I end up in better situations that are more suitable for what I am trying to do instead of staying stuck trying to solve problems where they can’t be solved.
There is relief in seeing things as they are instead of trying to make them into what we wish they were. There is relief in surrendering to what we can’t change.
It doesn’t mean that we give up on what we believe in. But when we surrender and accept what we cannot change, we take back our energy and open up to new possibilities.
