Seventeen years ago, my son was only three weeks old.
When I stood in the hallway of our family’s newly bought apartment 17 years ago today, getting us dressed to go out for our first walk alone since his birth, I had no idea what was about to happen in just a few minutes. When I dressed my son in his little overalls and hat and carefully put him in the stroller, I had no idea that only a few minutes later, the stroller would be broken, and I would not know if my son was alive.
I was about to experience one of the most difficult events of my life, an event that would turn my life upside-down and make my inner world collapse from the shock. That event would also begin a journey of deep spiritual transformation that would change my life at the core, and later, I would experience a shift in consciousness that would change my perception of reality.
But that day in the hallway, I had no idea what was about to happen.

Today, it’s seventeen years since the trauma that became the beginning of my spiritual journey, where my son and I were hit by a car. Miraculously, we survived without lasting injuries, which is grace.🙏
The event and the months that followed were really difficult. But in time, the event also led to my spiritual awakening, and years later, to the realization of my true self.
I can’t say that I am grateful that the accident happened. I wouldn’t want that to happen to anyone. But I am grateful for what it led to. And today, I want to take a moment to acknowledge that by writing this post.
