We need to change our state of consciousness to create another world.
It is not possible to create a new paradigm and a different world without shifting states of consciousness.
The new earth (or the new world or paradigm) that many talk about and envision is available on a different level of consciousness.
And no action without that (primarily) internal shift will create that new reality.
Period.
The first steps
One of the first and most important steps toward creating that new world, or letting it arise through us (aside from becoming aware of our own reactions and behaviors) is to focus less on the surface of things.
The things happening at the surface are not the (main) problem.
They are problematic and can be VERY painful, yes.
Even insane.
But they are symptoms of deeper problems. And those problems are hidden underneath the surface. Individually and collectively.
The ego loves it when we focus on the surface because that keeps the ego alive. It also allows the ego to have enemies among those who think or act differently – and the ego thrives on that. There is a lot of “we and them” going on in the world right now instead of people seeking to understand each other.
Focusing on the surface also keeps the old structures intact – because we don’t look at what is causing the problems but focus only on the surface issues, which will change again and again, while the real issues underneath remain the same – as long as we refuse to look there.
There are many layers to the problems we see in the world
There are many layers to the problems we see in the world and our lives.
As we awaken, we can start to look at and address those problems, and it is part of the awakening to do so – both in our individual lives and the world. That is how we dismantle the old consciousness and make room for the new.
But we can’t dismantle the old consciousness by only looking at the symptoms that it is causing at the surface. We need to look deeper.
Most have to go through that awakening process gradually and go deeper and deeper to realize that there is another reality than the one we have seen.
It is not always pleasant, but necessary.
We also need to take responsibility for our part in things, the places where we have been unconscious.
At the deepest level, there is only ONE cause
At the deepest level, there is also one (main) cause: the separation from our true nature, our true selves – which is what leads to the identification with the ego.
That is the cause of everything happening on all the other levels.
Remove that cause, and we will see another world, a completely different reality.
The new earth is arising
That new reality is arising now – but it can only arise in us, through us, and as us. And it is arising from underneath or beyond the current state of humanity.
If we want that new reality to be a physical reality our actions must come from that new inner state – where we can allow the universe to work through us as us.
We can act, even in the outer world – in the world we see right now. But when we do, we must act from a different state of being so that we don’t contribute to more of the old ways.
To be able to do that, we need to remove the egoic programming in ourselves because it is in the way of seeing clearly. We must look at the deeper layers in our psyche that both cause and allow the world we see now to go on.
This is vital because we can’t act beyond our current level of consciousness.
So, if we haven’t gone deep enough ourselves, we cannot bring solutions from that depth into the world because we have not yet been there ourselves.
Those solutions come from a different state of being.
New ways of being and acting arise from beyond the old consciousness
When we examine our inner worlds, we will see part of the programming causing the world to look the way it does today.
And when we do that, we realize we must act differently to create another world.
We don’t have to know what those actions are beforehand. They will arise from another level of consciousness when we stop abandoning ourselves – when we stop going into the programming or only focus on the surface things.
When we remain focused on the surface, the hidden layers underneath remain intact, and even if we change what is happening on the surface, the deeper causes of the problems have not been addressed. So, new similar problems will arise.
So, unless we go to where the problems stem from, there will be no permanent change. No matter how good our intentions are or how good it looks on the surface.
New perspectives and solutions
When we go deeper, we make room for new ideas and perspectives to arise. Perspectives that are not available in the current paradigm.
Ideas on how to create something new that is for the highest good.
We don’t have to become passive (which is what some people think it means to be awake or present). We can act now. But if we want the world to change, it has to come from a different state of consciousness. Not from reaction since that creates more of the same.
The new consciousness can be direct, clear, angry, and powerful. But there is a divine and whole energy behind it. It doesn’t come from a place where we are cut off from ourselves but from a place where we are aligned with who we are and a higher and deeper truth and state of consciousness.
That is the state of being that will create a different reality.
