About two weeks ago, I asked the universe for a sign. 

I needed clarity on something important to me.

I’m planning to move to another country, and have been focusing on a specific city. 

This city, however, is not the easiest to move to, for several reasons. And things have been moving slowly. 

While I have been working toward that goal, my life in Stockholm has also been very challenging.

I have had to change my plans several times due to circumstances out of my control.

So, I needed a sign, and I wanted something specific. 

I have received guidance on moving to this city, and some of it has definitely taken me forward, but not all the way. And I wanted to know if I should keep looking or change my plans. 

So I said to the universe: 

”If I’m meant to move to (the city I want to move to), show me a purple butterfly.”

The first two days after I asked, I looked everywhere. I really wanted to see a purple butterfly.

But nothing happened. No butterfly.

As the days passed, I also got caught up in other things. And after a while I even forgot about it. 

But this week, I have been traveling.

And when I got back to Stockholm last night, the universe had something to show me. 

It was only minutes after I walked out of the central station that I saw it:

The purple butterfly.

The second I saw it, I remembered what I had asked for.

I just stopped and stood there looking at it. 

And as I reached for my phone to take a photo, I kept repeating ”Oh my God” out loud.

(I wonder what the people around me thought I was seeing ;))But I was so surprised. And taken by the moment.

I have walked there many times, and never seen those butterflies. I don’t even know how long they’ve been there. But I know what the purple ones meant for me.

And here’s another thing: I was supposed to walk through the central station when I arrived. If I had done that, I wouldn’t have seen the butterflies. But I changed my mind at the last minute and decided to go outside instead, and that’s when I saw them.

I guess I was guided there.

So, now I know.

I got the sign I was asking for.

Sometimes it’s when we let go, and even forget what we asked for, that the signs can appear.
